Elon Musk on The Colbert Report

Elon Musk leads a complicated life, from Tesla Motors' recent IPO to an ongoing and nasty divorce battle, not to mention questions about his veracity, but the seemingly subdued Tesla CEO remains firmly in the public eye.

He took the time to go on the latest episode of The Colbert Report, where he opened up a little bit about everything he's doing, including future plans for the two companies he leads--Tesla and SpaceX--and his life in general.

Musk told host Stephen Colbert that Tesla plans a third model after the 2012 Model S luxury sports sedan. He hopes to sell that still-unnamed vehicle for around $30,000.

He also hinted that he hoped to have private space flights up and running within the next four years.

At one point, Colbert even describes Musk as a superhero, relating him to Batman. Musk, humble as ever, simply says he sees himself as ‘just’ an engineer.

Check out the video below, it’s well worth the watch. No matter what your personal views on Musk may be.
