Chevy Volt IVer
General Motors has reached the pre-production phase of the Chevy Volt development program.
At this point they have built 30 vehicles out of a total of 88 that will completed over the next several weeks.
Although not entirely ready for production, these cars are for all intents and purposes about the same as the cars that will arrive in the showrooms next year.
I had the chance to take shotgun and go for a brief ride in on of these so-called IVers with Volt vehicle line executive Frank Weber at the wheel.
The car was fast, quiet and confident. It was roomy, comfortable and packed with technology.
