Electric cars prove their capability every day.

So far, however, not every class of car includes an electric option, and there are still some things that most electric cars can't do.

Only the Tesla Model X, for example, can carry more than five passengers or tow a trailer.

No electric pickups have hit the market.

As trailer owners and electric car fans who don't qualify for a Model X car loan, that led us to wonder how many others might be looking for more utility from their electric cars than the current selection offers.

So we thought we'd ask our Twitter followers, many of whom already drive electric cars, what are the things they wish they could do with an electric car that they can't yet.

Among the needs many people have that few electrics can meet today are: carrying more than five people, towing a trailer, and making long trips. Outside the Tesla Supercharger network, many electric car owners still have challenges finding enough fast chargers on the road.

Some may have other challenges that we haven't considered.

So our question is: "Is there anything you wish your electric car could do that it can't?" And the choices are: Long trips, carry more people or stuff, towing, and other.

Remember, as always, that our Twitter polls are unscientific, because of their low sample size and because our respondents are self-selected. We'll publish the results next week.
