2012 Mercedes Benz Spy Shot - December in Colorado

The 2012 Mercedes Benz SLK has been in the news quite regularly as of late between the spy shots of the Magic Sky Control Roof and the actual press release for the new technology. The 2012 Mercedes Benz SLK has actually been spied for quite some time now with some of the earliest photos hitting the Internet back in June of 2009. Lately, however, we have seen the SLK and its Magic Sky Control Roof being tested in Death Valley—mostly courteous of Mercedes Benz themselves. Now the latest spotting has been at a mile high in Colorful Colorado.

Yes, today we spotted the 2012 Mercedes Benz SLK test mule out on the streets of Aurora and Denver. It wasn’t clear what they might have been testing two days before Christmas, but it was definitely a Michigan plate test car. Given the mild weather this year in Denver, the likelihood of this being cold weather testing is probably slim. Perhaps, the mule was out for general high altitude or in-town testing. Either way, we can’t wait for the actual model to be debuted to the public. The Magic Sky Control Roof is just too cool for words.
