According to Th!nk Global, the first group of Th!nk City electric cars have been delivered to the government of Austria as part of a nationwide testing program.

The programs primary focus is to determine the impact of electrical charging systems on the nation's power grid.  The Austrian government also plans to look at the impact of electric cars and their associated energy usage and what role it plays in regards to climate and energy concerns.

Austria plans to incorporate over 100 test EVs into the program from several manufacturers.  But Th!nk vehicles will likely make up the majority of the supplied EVs.

Though the project is designed to help test the impact of EVs, it also provides a sales base for small electric car makers and provides them with funds for future vehicles.
