On Tuesday Fisker Automotive announced that they were selected to receive a $528.7 million loan from the US government. Considered part of the ATVM loan program, the money will be used to develop an assembly plant to construct affordable electric cars in the United States. It is expected to create 5000 jobs and save 821 million gallons of gas and 8 million tons of CO2 through 2016.
