Well, it's now been a year since I took delivery of my dark green 2013 Tesla Model S with the 60-kilowatt-hour battery. After almost four years of waiting, those first days after delivery were euphoric. As I recall, the words "greatest freaking car in the entire freaking Universe" (or thereabouts) passed my lips on several occasions during the honeymoon period. But my view has become, shall we say, more nuanced after 365 days and 15,243 miles of of blizzards, bird droppings, heat, cold, glitches, groceries, dogs, road trips, drag races, Superchargers, traffic jams, service visits, vampire...

Quant Limousine Concept Pioneers Flow Cell Power Unit At GenevaThe change has been so gradual you'd hardly notice. Rather than huge multi-cylinder or turbocharged engines, the average wild concept car shown at the Geneva Motor Show is typically powered by fuel cells or batteries, these days. Making its debut at the show this year is La Vecchia's Quant...

Fisker Automotive is slowly returning. A new website isn't the be-all and end-all of a company back on the right track, but the new site is the first sign of stirring life within the company under its new owner, Wanxiang America, the U.S. arm of China's largest auto-parts firm. It's also slick, hopeful, and remarkably candid about the company's rocky history. What's clear is that the Karma will apparently be returning virtually untouched, with the same dramatic styling as before. And the same logo, contrary to expectations. Hopefully though, Wanxiang will see fit to fix the quality issues...

Cadillac ELR Wasn't Originally Used In 'Provocative' AdIn general, getting people talking about your ad is a good way to get people talking about your car. In the case of "Poolside"--an ad for the 2014 Cadillac ELR range-extended electric luxury coupe aired during the Oscars and the Sochi Olympics--however, not all the talk has been favorable. MORE...

2014 BMW 2-Series Active Tourer: Live Photos From Geneva ShowLet's get any confusion out of the way: The new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer is completely unrelated to the new BMW 2-Series. BMW has chosen the name to differentiate the new front-wheel drive hatchback from the 1-Series sold overseas, and partly, we suspect, because 1.5 or 2.5 Series would sound...

Volkswagen Golf GTE Plug-In Hybrid: Live Photos From GenevaLet's get the bad news out the way first: The Volkswagen Golf GTE won't be coming to the U.S. For whatever reason, VW has decided that American customers don't want a 200-horsepower plug-in hybrid Golf, with stylistic touches cribbed from the sporty GTI. Maybe it's not too bad--VW does after all...

2015 Jeep Renegade - Tiniest Jeep Yet Unveiled In Geneva: Video And Live PhotosIt's often said that Jeep is the most valuable part of Chrysler, and the renewal of the legendarily tough utility brand's range is now well underway, courtesy of new owner Fiat. Introduced today at the Geneva Motor Show, the newest model is also its smallest modern-day vehicle ever: the 2015 Jeep...

2014 Cadillac ELR: Gorgeous, Too-Pricey Electric Luxury CoupeLet's get one thing out of the way up front: The 2014 Cadillac ELR is rather more than a "tarted-up Volt," in the words of more than one commentator. It's a quiet, smooth, adequately powerful and very stylish coupe with a luxurious interior, and it runs on GM's most advanced range-extended electric...

2015 Nissan Juke Unveiled In Geneva: Live Photo GalleryNissan spent most of last week teasing images of the 2015 Juke in a frustrating social media campaign. All we really wanted to know was whether the Juke had lost its characterful--if divisive--styling. The good news (or bad news, depending on how much you like the Juke) is that it's lost none of...

Rinspeed XchangE: Tesla-Based Autonomous Car Live PhotosOne does not simply buy a Rinspeed car. They have no easily-accessible showrooms, and all of their vehicles are one-offs. Instead, they provide endless mirth at major auto shows like that ongoing in Geneva, with vehicles like the autonomously-driven XchangE. It is of course based on the Tesla Model...

MINI Clubman Concept: Live Photos From Geneva Motor ShowMINI's existing Clubman model is an acquired taste, but the Clubman concept launched at Geneva may find a few more fans. It loses the abrupt wagon layout and unusual suicide-style side door, and in its place you get a proper four-door vehicle with better rear passenger space and a larger load area...

Renault Twingo Live Photos: Smart Forfour Partner Launched At GenevaThe car you see here, the Renault Twingo, will not be sold in the U.S. A car like it will be, though--Smart's next Forfour, and indeed the two-seat Fortwo, have been co-developed with the French brand, so there'll be plenty of similarities between the two. Renault's version of the car is a...

Next Mazda 2: Hazumi Concept Live Photos From Geneva ShowDon't be fooled by the title. It may well read "Mazda Hazumi concept", but Mazda has played this game before. Just as Minagi begat Mazda CX-5 and Takeri begat Mazda6, the Hazumi is essentially the next-generation Mazda2. As you can see from our live Geneva Motor Show photos, the Hazumi--and...
