What's been happening in the world of green automotive news this week? Let's recap:

News broke that Ford might consider diesel, hybrid or even electric powertrains for the Mustang in the future, and we discussed what the new 2015 Mustang's fuel-economy ratings might be.

In Tesla-related news [NSDQ:TSLA] this week, we took a look at two different 1,200-mile Model S road trips, one on the west coast and one on the east coast. These two stories gave us real-life lessons regarding the pitfalls of road trips in Tesla's electric car.

Meanwhile, Toyota announced it will show a production hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month, and it believes fuel-cell vehicle pricing will be competitive with electric cars by 2030.

As sales of gasoline have flatlined we discussed whether ethanol has become a victim of change.
