Nissan has signed another memo of understanding committing to zero emissions mobility. Today's partner is the Swiss electric utility company Energie Ouest Suisse. The two parties will collaborate to develop a battery charging network throughout Switzerland. The Renault-Nissan Alliance will also provide Energie Ouest Suisse with electric fleet vehicles.

The partnership is significant for two reasons. This is the first such agreement Nissan has made in Switzerland. Switzerland also happens to be Nissan's European headquarters. Not to mention that Energie Ouest Suisse produces 85% of its electricity through hydropower.

This website last reported Nissan's partnership with Monaco in late November. Since then, Nissan has also entered into an agreement with Sonoma County in California, bringing their total number of zero emissions partnerships to ten.
