Toyota has recently unveiled its new third generation Prius, which has improved aerodynamics, a larger engine, and an improved parallel hybrid drivertrain that permits it to achieve a 50 mpg combined fuel efficieny. The Nikkei has just reported that Toyota will begin selling the car in May alongside its older version. The older version will be dropped in price to around 2 million yen or $22,000 whereas the new version will be sold for approximately 2.5 million yen or $27,600. Source (Nikkei)
