94 miles per gallon sounds pretty good doesn’t it? What about a glass roof etched with the Union Jacket and an overall length of 11 feet 3 inches? If that sounds interesting to you, then the MINI Rocketman is going to be right up your alley. It even has a feature that they call “complex hinge technology” that allows for a 3+1 configuration. All of these features come together to make a car that is almost the same size as the original MINI with fuel economy that leaps and bounds above the original.

The fuel efficiency seems like the story here, but truly the 3+1 set-up is the interesting news here. Why is that so cool? If you slide the seat system all the way back you get a sports car like drive position and we can only hypnotize it would be like driving the new Cooper coupe. However, if you need to carry a third passenger then you can slide the system back forward to reveal the individual rear seat. That fourth friend shows up unexpectedly? Slide the entire front section forward yet again to accommodate a fourth passenger for a short and probably uncomfortable journey.

Couple that neat system and high mpgs with a car that is almost a foot shorter than the modern redesigned MINI Cooper and MINI might have the next small car blockbuster. It is only a concept car right now, but keep your eyes pealed for the features because they might turn up on any number of new MINI production vehicles.
