Carmakers have rolled out their incentives and special offers for July and, as always, there are a few deals on hybrids, electric cars, and diesel models.

Strong incentives for certain models carry over from previous months, while other vehicles get new incentives that can suddenly make them more attractive options than before.

Even if you already know which car you want, knowing when to make that trip to the dealer can be very important.

With that in mind, here are the best deals on hybrids, diesels, and electric cars for July, via CarsDirect.

Hybrids

The Lincoln MKZ Hybrid was subject to a significant discount last month, but now its Ford Fusion Hybrid sibling is the one getting a deal.

2015 Toyota Prius Liftback

Between now and September 30, it's possible to lease a 2015 Fusion Hybrid SE for $179 per month for 36 months, with $2,549 due at signing.

That represents a $70 cut in monthly payments and a $410 cut in the amount due at signing compared to last month. This lease comes with a cap of 10,500 miles per year.

Meanwhile, strong incentives for the 2015 Toyota Prius continue into July.

Last month's offer (in California) of a $2,000 gas card for 24-month leases now extends through August 3.

The lease rate itself is $239 per month, with $1,999 due at signing and a 12,000-mile annual cap.

That includes a slightly higher monthly payment than Toyota's best 36-month Prius lease, but the gas card could make the shorter lease worthwhile for buyers that qualify.

A shorter lease also allows shoppers to upgrade to the next-generation Prius sooner. That model could be unveiled later this year.

Moving up to Toyota's luxury brand, the 2015 Lexus CT 200h is also a noteworthy deal.

Between now and September 8, shoppers can lease one for $299 for 36 months, with $799 due at signing and a 10,000-mile annual cap.

Considering both the monthly payment and amount due at signing, the CT 200h effectively costs $46 more per month than the Prius, according to Cars Direct.

That's not bad, considering the Lexus has a base price over $8,000 higher than the Toyota.

Plug-In Hybrids

2015 Ford C-Max Energi

2015 Ford C-Max Energi

The two Ford plug-in hybrids are being offered with major discounts in July.

The 2015 Ford C-Max Energi gets a lease offer of $159 per month for 36 months, with $3,089 due at signing and a cap of 10,500 miles per year.

That offer--valid through September 30--represents a $30 cut for monthly payments and a $310 cut in the amount due at signing compared to June.

If you prefer a sedan to a hatchback, the 2015 Ford Fusion Energi features the same powertrain, and a notable lease deal of its own.

Ford's best offer is $209 per month for 36 months, with $3,689 due at signing and 10,500 miles allotted per year.

That's a $50 cut in monthly payments and a $10 cut in the amount due at signing over last month.

As with the C-Max Energi deal, this one is good through September 30.

Electric Cars

The 2015 Chevrolet Volt has been out of production since May, as General Motors prepares to launch the all-new 2016 model.

But there are apparently still some 2015 models left on dealer lots, and they continue to get aggressive incentives.

The Volt is now available to lease for $197 per month for 39 months, with $2,500 due at signing and an allotted 10,000 miles per year.

This offer is only valid in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont, and expires August 31.

Chevy is also offering a $2,500 loyalty bonus credit, which effectively erases the down payment.

The brand's other electric car also continues to be a good deal.

A 2015 Chevy Spark EV lease can be had for $138 for 39 months, with nothing due at signing and a cap of 10,000 miles per year.

Those are essentially the same terms offered last month, although the monthly payment is now $1 less. This offer expires August 31.

Fiat is also extending the deal offered for the past two months on its 500e electric car.

It remains $169 per month for 36 months--with $1,999 due at signing and an allotted 12,000 miles per year--through August 3.

Note that the Spark EV and 500e are low-volume "compliance cars." Both cars are sold in California and Oregon, while the Chevy is also available in Maryland.

2015 Nissan Leaf

In contrast, the 2015 Nissan Leaf is available far and wide.

Just like last month, it's available to lease at $199 for 36 months, with $2,399 due at signing and a cap of 12,000 miles per year.

The deal now extends through July 31. Nissan is also offering zero-percent financing for up to 72 months, with a $5,000 cash bonus, this month.

Diesel

BMW is continuing the lease deal offered last month on its 328d sedan through July 31.

The diesel car is once again available to lease at $329 per month for 36 months, with $4,124 due at signing and 10,000 miles per year.

The 328d SportsWagon is also available for $399 per month for 36 months, and $4,194 due at signing.

For those who want a somewhat larger vehicle, the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg TDI Lux 4Motion gets a $30 monthly-payment cut compared to June.

It can now be leased for $519 per month for 36 months, with $2,999 due at signing and 10,000 miles per year.

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta TDI rounds out this month's best deals.

VW's best offer is $219 per month for 36 months, with $1,999 due at signing and 12,000 miles per year.

Both Volkswagen deals expire August 31.
