It might get pretty lousy gas-mileage, but everyone at GreenCarReports agrees that the 2012 Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid is one extremely sexy car.
To be honest that’s hardly surprising. After all, it was designed by Henrik Fisker, the automotive design genius responsible for legendary cars like the Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and BMW Z8.
But teen pop idol Justin Bieber, who was given a Fisker Karma by his Producer for his 18th birthday live on the Ellen Show, has actually made his $102,000 plug-in hybrid less sexy.
Discontent with the Eclipse metallic black finish that his Karma shipped with, Bieber gave his new ride to his buddies over at West Coast Customs. Responsible for previously turning a Cadillac CTS-V into a Bieber-styled matt-black Batmobile, the crew at West Coast Customs worked their magic on Bieber’s new eco-ride.
The result?Those of a nervous disposition may want to turn away.

We’re not sure if the aluminum-color is down to a respray or an all-over body-wrap, but to be honest it really doesn’t matter.
A mirror shine that bright breaks the Fisker’s design-karma.
Luckily however, there is some retribution for this particular crime against automotive taste: shortly after picking up his custom car, Bieber got into mild trouble with the LAPD after illegally parking his mirror-finish Karma outside some shops in Beverly Hills.
There’s still one thing we don’t understand however.
If Justin Bieber really wanted an aluminium a chrome/aluminium/stainless-steel electric car, why didn’t he just order a recently-resurrected all-electric DeLorean DMC-12?
The whole incident is best summarised by the author's 9-year old child, who on seeing Bieber's Karma for the first time came up with this jewel.
"Maybe Bieber just likes looking at himself in the mirror all the time."
