Mitsubishi has announced that trials of the iMiEV, the peppy electric vehicle based on the gasoline-powered 660cc “i” minicar, will begin in Europe, in addition to the current fleet testing going on in Japan. 12 iMiEVs will be offered for government, utility, and corporate fleet testing: five in the UK and the other seven scattered throughout Spain, Norway, and Holland.
iMiEV goes on sale in Japan this summer, and is expected to be very popular with consumers there.
