Green Car Reports has many readers, more than we thought possible seven years ago, when we launched the site.

While many readers dip into a few articles without commenting or interacting, a substantial number of you read most of our articles and comment, sometimes vigorously.

You also send us tips, correct our typos, and generally help us make the site better, more informative, and richer.

And it's in that vein, to convey our enormous gratitude, that we decided on the spur of the moment to designate a "Best Reader of the Year."

For 2015, we're giving that award to Brian Henderson of Seattle.

If you're a regular reader, you've likely seen Brian's name attached to a hat tip at the bottom, meaning he was the first person to tip us off to a particular story.

Brian has long been an electric-car advocate, with a particular passion for the Nissan Leaf (the world's best-selling electric car, as he sometimes reminds others).

He describes himself as a user-interface designer and developer, an amateur photographer and videogapher, and an amateur pilot.

And Brian's an active Twitter user.

He's never shy about sending us thoughts, suggestions, ruminations, or theories about the evolution of the auto industry and plug-in cars in particular.

Over the years, Brian's been an active contributor to a number of Nissan Leaf and electric-car forums on Facebook and elsewhere.

We're grateful for Brian's regular contributions and his good humor, and thank him from the bottom of our collective editorial hearts.

We also want to express our enormous gratitude to two assiduous proofreaders, John C. Briggs and Ryan Cody.

Their regular notes pointing out typos, keyboard slips, missing words, and the like help us make our articles (sometimes produced more quickly than we'd like) better and cleaner.

This site is a better place for all of their efforts. (Briggs has also contributed photos and articles as well.)

More broadly, we appreciate the efforts of every reader who adds a civil, factual comment, flags inappropriate comments, sends us tips, or points out items that could be clarified.

Our somewhat unexpected success as a site owes a great deal to all of you, so we'll close 2015 by saying thank you to every reader--and Happy New Year!
