The MINI is a favorite for us here at AllSmallCars.com and now it seems we have even more reason to spread more joy to the MINI brand. The cause for the excitement? Leaked photos of the MINI Crossover that is supposed to debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The MINI Crossover might just be the smallest vehicle of its type.

According to our partners over at TheCarConnection.com, the MINI Crossover could possibly be named the Countryman. Okay, so the name isn’t official, but the profile of the car certainly says MINI all over it. The only thing that is really out of place for this MINI is the rake of the roofline, the cars height off the ground, oversized headlights, aggressive grill… Right, there is actually a lot that is a little out of place on this MINI crossover, but that doesn’t make it any less loveable as an addition of the MINI line-up.

Imagine this, taking the twisties on your way up your favorite mountain road when that off-road turn off that you have always wanted to check out comes into view. Before owning a MINI would push the though of exploring the unknown off-road track right out of the mind. Not this time. With the MINI crossover vehicle not only can you hit the path less traveled, but you can also score a perfect parking space at the mall. No word on whether this model will actually go into production, but even in a limited edition we think this car would be a ton of mini fun.

Bottom line—we can’t wait to see and learn more during the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The only thing that looks to be missing so far might be an all-wheel drive model and a U.S. diesel variant.

Also, be sure to check out TheCarConnection.com coverage of the MINI Crossover.
