Three weeks from now, the next-generation 2016 Chevrolet Spark minicar will just have debuted at the 2015 New York Auto Show, as well as the auto show in Seoul.

We've already seen leaked images and a Chevy-supplied teaser of the exterior, but now we've got an early peek at the interior.

DON'T MISS: 2016 Chevrolet Spark Teaser Photo Previews New York Auto Show Debut

Korean site BobaeDream--which previously released exterior photos of a next-generation Spark undergoing testing--leaked this photo of the car's interior.

The link has since gone dead, but the image was reposted by Indian Autos Blog.

The photo shows a somewhat more conventional interior than that of the current Spark.

The "motorcycle-inspired" gauge cluster has been replaced, and the round air vents are now rectangular and better integrated into the dashboard.

There also appears to be a larger central display screen than the one in today's Spark, which should please its target audience of younger buyers.

The leak follows the release of a teaser photo by Chevy earlier this week that hints at revised exterior styling as well.

The 2016 Spark will likely draw its various powertrain options from General Motors' new Ecotec small-engine family.

The U.S. model will probably use the larger of these, as the North American Spark will carry more crash-safety structure and a higher level of equipment than more basic versions sold in India and other Asian countries.

That already includes a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-yclinder engine used in the European Opel Adam, and the 1.5-liter four-cylinder used as a range extender in the 2016 Chevy Volt.

The new Spark likely won't be joined by an updated Spark EV electric variant, though.

Chevy is expected to replace the Spark EV with the production version of the Bolt concept car shown in January at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

The Bolt, which goes on sale in early 2017, will use underpinnings from the larger Chevy Sonic, which is unrelated to the Spark.

While the current Spark EV is only sold in California, Oregon, and Maryland, GM has said the Bolt will be available in all 50 states.

In the meantime, the Spark EV will remain in production on its existing platform alongside the new 2016 Spark gasoline models for around 18 months, while Chevy prepares to start building the Bolt
