Crushed BMW ActiveE Test Fleet Headed For Scrapyard

A photo snapped by a friend of a BMW ActiveE driver that appeared on Facebook showed a trailer-load of the converted electric cars that had been crushed, presumably headed for the scrapyard. It sparked a mini-firestorm, causing BMW to issue a statement two days later explaining that the cars were not legal to sell in the U.S. and had to be disposed of.
