We all know about the Wheel of Fortune contestant Caitlin Burke who solved the TV show’s prize puzzle with one letter and won herself a luxury Caribbean holiday, but what about driving away in a new car?

This week, the long-running quiz show is greening up its act, offering a 2011 Chevrolet Volt  as a prize.

As part of its themed Green Week, Wheel of Fortune is giving away environmentally friendly prizes designed to encourage both contestants and viewers to live a lower carbon lifestyle.

The 2011 Chevrolet Volt is the green icing on its green-themed cake.

While our own John Voelcker concluded last week that the 2011 Chevrolet Volt won’t save you money until you’ve paid off the difference between its $41,000 price tag and that of a similar sized gasoline car, the lucky winner of the Wheel of Fortune Volt will save big bucks as soon as they drive it off the set.

The 2011 Chevrolet Volt may have an on-board gasoline range-extending engine and a battery-only EPA range of just 35 miles per charge, but it is quickly becoming the dominant plug-in vehicle in the U.S. today, outselling the all-electric 2011 Nissan Leaf by a factor of three.

If you’d like to see who walks or rather drives away in the 2011 Chevrolet Volt on Wheel of Fortune, you can check the show times for your local area at the official Wheel of Fortune website
