You've got to be at least somewhat extroverted to drive a 2010 Smart ForTwo minicar, the smallest car sold in North America. People stare at it, point at you, and often ask you variations of, "What on earth makes you want to drive that?"

Now, for the most extroverted of Smart owners, there's a new and even more noticeable option: car wraps in a variety of styles, colors, and patterns.

Plaid. Houndstooth. Formica-style wood grain. Abstract patterns. Random graphics, including a curvy female silhouette. The list seems endless. As Smart says, "You can now create your mobile masterpiece from unlimited paint colors and a variety of wrap designs."

But it's all about power, apparently. Smart goes on, "The power is in your hands. The power to be creative. The power to be expressive. There's no one like you. There should be no smart fortwo like yours."

Smart offers full details on the Expressions program on its website. The wraps come with a three-year warranty, and full wraps start at $1,350 (plus tax, shipping, installation, and other dealer fees).

Smart's wraps still play second fiddle to the truly outre offerings from Aston Martin for the its Cygnet (sold only in Europe, by the way). The tiny Cygnet is built on Toyota's similar-sized iQ minicar, which will go on sale in the States next January as the 2011 Scion iQ.

Cygnet wraps include not only Aston Martin racing team colors, but both zebra and tiger stripes. Take that, Smart.
