2010 toyota corolla Professional Edmunds Review

...Leather upholstery is available on the S and XRS only. Powertrains and Performance: Other than the XRS, all 2010 Toyota Corollas are motivated by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 132 hp and 128 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels is standard, and a four-speed automatic is optional. The manual returns 26 mpg city/35 mpg highway and 30 mpg combined, according to the EPA, while the automatic squeezes out 27 mpg city. We recorded a 10.1-second 0-60-mph time for the 1.8-liter four-cylinder and automatic, which is about average for this class of...

...Exterior A highlight of the XRS trim is its appearance. The somewhat boring look of the standard Corolla is tarted up here with more aggressive body moldings, larger wheels — 17-inchers replace standard 15-inch wheels — and a rear spoiler. A soft-touch dashboard isn't necessary, but it's nice when touch-points like the armrests and window sills are soft; they aren't here. Such things are becoming ordinary in compact cars. The same is true of woven headliners — that's the ceiling fabric — though the Corolla still has the plainer "mouse fur." Likewise, cloth upholstery is improving across the market, but the Corolla's is a bit of a throwback. Ours proved particularly adept at collecting lint, as if Toyota had...

...The 2010 Toyota Corolla will not impress you, unless you’re looking for the best example of bland out there.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, and if a car is a car is a car to you, the Corolla is definitely that.
However, it’s probably best to wait a year and see if Toyota refines its abysmal electronic steering...

...Available cloth or leather seating surfaces Available simulated wood or metallic trim Standard air conditioning Standard tilt/telescoping steering wheel Available power windows, locks and keyless entry Optional six- or eight-speaker audio system Available navigation system Under the Hood The Corolla's base engine is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder, paired to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. The XRS has a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder, mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission, which can be manually shifted when placed in the...
