2009 nissan rogue Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...In our testing, the AWD Rogue SL took 9.2 seconds to reach 60 mph, which is comparable to other four-cylinder compact crossovers. Likewise, fuel economy is similar to that of the competition. The front-wheel-drive Rogue has an EPA estimate of 22 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 24 mpg in combined driving. The AWD variant drops slightly to 21/26/23 mpg. Safety: For the entire Rogue lineup, standard safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active front head restraints. All of this... |

2009 Nissan Rogue Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...and country roads where it provides more than adequate acceleration and delivers decent fuel economy for a crossover-utility wagon -- 21 miles per gallon in the city and nearly 27 mpg on the highway, running on recommended regular unleaded gasoline. But the word is out on the Rogue among veteran highway motorists. They know it's a wimp with a continuously variable automatic transmission -- a pulley system with no fixed gear ratios -- struggling to transfer power to drive wheels at highway speeds. They give it no respect. They rev their engines. They tailgate. The Rogue scampers to the middle... |

2009 Nissan Rogue Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...An available flat-folding front passenger seat allows you to carry long items inside the SUV, and the second row features a 60/40-split folding bench seat. Passenger volume comes in at 97.5 cubic feet, with 28.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. That measures pretty closely with the Vue, but the RAV4 is larger. Available cloth, two-tone cloth and leather seating Standard air conditioning Standard power windows and speed-sensitive door locks Optional leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter Optional Bose audio system Optional Bluetooth phone connectivity Optional keyless entry... |

2009 Nissan Rogue Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...There is a large center console, and a very large glove box. A 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat allows for expansion of the cargo area. There is a cargo organizer in the rear that pops up from under the floor with the push of a button. It has a washable bin that is designed for wet or dirty items such as bathing suits or muddy boots. Our vehicle came with the premium package ($1,930), which added a Bose audio system with seven speakers and six-disc CD changer; trip computer; steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls; XM satellite radio; Bluetooth hands-free phone system; keyless... |

2009 Nissan Rogue Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Groove-On): Good Times Interior Nissan sticks with their usual minimalist approach to interiors and keeps things clean and sporty in the Rogue. Nearly everything in the cabin is trimmed in matte black with metallic trim. The leather-wrapped steering wheel houses controls for the audio system, cruise control and the wireless phone connection. The Bluetooth system worked pretty well with only a few bugs answering incoming calls. The audio system sounds great, and after a quick perusal of the owner's manual, I was working the satellite radio and presetting channels like a pro. The only messy... |

2009 Nissan Rogue Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The SL's front seat also folds forward to accommodate long items. The look and feel of the interior belie the car's price. The instrument panel is handsomely styled, and the two-tone cloth seats in the test vehicle were comfortable as well as attractive. The gauges are large and easy to read. Heated leather seats are optional on the SL. The Garmin Nuvi 750 navigation device is a most useful option. The small unit attaches to the dash just to the right of the instrument pod. I found the Garmin to be just as functional as a large LCD screen, and its price was way less than most in-dash... |

Review: 2009 Nissan Rogue SL FWDSource: MSN Autos...There is an initial hesitation to the driveline upon startup, but once on the road the Rogue drives like an automatic without the sensation of shifting gears.Inner SpaceThe Rogue’s cabin is simple and functional, but additional Premium and Leather packages really give it an added dimension of refinement and luxury. The seats are supple and inviting. The gauges are easy to read, with a round electroluminescent info center poised between big tachometer and speedometer readouts. Stereo and ventilation controls are conveniently at hand, and the dash itself is soft-touch upscale material, not... |

2009 Nissan Rogue Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Road and wind noise was minimal, and the suspension provided a soft ride, which many "sporty" SUVs abandon for a firmer one. I don't understand why some manufacturers seem to think an SUV needs to feel like a sports car in the ride department, and after hitting a stretch of pothole-filled roads I was very glad Nissan feels the same way. The Rogue had very little body lean for an SUV, but it's probably still not up to the level of the Outlander. Even so, the Rogue is probably the best all-around performer in the four-cylinder class. Over roughly 200 miles of mixed highway and two-lane-road... |
