2011 buick regal Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...A six-speed automatic (with manual shift capability) is standard for both engines; the turbo is also offered with a six-speed manual transmission. The EPA estimates fuel economy at 19 mpg city/30 mpg highway and 23 mpg in combined driving for the 2.4-liter engine. The CXL Turbo achieves an estimated 18/28/22. In testing, a 2011 Regal with the base 2.4-liter required a very long 9.9 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 mph. This is considerably slower -- in some cases, by more than 3 seconds -- than the competitors. The Turbo improves that time to 8.4 seconds, which is obviously better, but... |

1993 Buick Regal Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...We realize some folks prefer those sealed-as-in-a-cell-type locks for addedprotection. Fine. To each his or her own. Our gripe is that you should have a choice of power locks so that you can exit speedily upon arrival at your destination or take a few extra seconds and press the button yourself. A big plus is the optional remote, keyless entry system. You merely touch the symbol on the key fob to lock or unlock the doors or the trunk after you've left the vehicle or as you approach with an armload of groceries. In today's world, in which parking lots have in some cases been transformed into... |

2011 Buick Regal Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...I didn't notice the air filtration system when I was test-driving the Regal, but I did the next week when I test-drove a car that didn't have a similar system. Without a filtration system, I couldn't stop sneezing. The Regal's power-adjustable driver's seat and tilt/telescoping steering wheel helped me customize my driver's side fit while the XM Satellite Radio kept my hubby entertained. The optional navigation system kept the kids focused on where we were on the map. I was surprised that the nav system didn't include a backup camera, especially since the LCD screen atop the dash was capable... |

2011 Buick Regal Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The leather seats — standard on the CXL — are high-quality, on par with Cadillac, I think. They're also extremely comfortable. After 200 miles and four hours behind the wheel, I was just as comfortable as I was for mile one — and if you've read my other reviews, you know I have a finicky back. The LaCrosse has a scalloped dashboard that envelopes the driver and, for me, was a tad claustrophobic. The Regal's dash is more traditional and felt more spacious in spite of its slightly more restricted dimensions. The backseat was surprisingly spacious in legroom. It has 3 more inches of it... |

1996 buick regal Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...The addition of a four-door in 1990 helped somewhat, but sales levels never climbed back to mid-Eighties highs. The Regal is an attractive car, depending on how it's optioned out. GS versions sport the best appearance, eschewing chrome and skinny tires for a more luxury-sport look. This year, Regal Limited and Gran Sport get the powerful Series II 3.8-liter V6 engine, which pumps 205 horsepower through an electronically controlled four-speed automatic. Torque is up as well. Base Custom models make do with the standard 3.1-liter 160-horsepower V6. Four new colors debut for 1996, and dual... |

1996 Buick Regal Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The new engine is rated 205 horsepower at 5,200 rpm, 35 horsepower more than the previous model. Max torque is set at 230 pound-feet at 4,000 rpm. The Gran Sport's suspension has been tweaked to give it a more sporty feel than lesser Regals. But it also shares much with its softer siblings, including front-wheel-drive, standard dual-front air bags, air conditioning, power four-wheel-disc brakes with anti-lock backup and an electronically controlled, four-speed automatic transmission. The other Regals include the Custom, the most affordable version; and the Limited, the luxury model. All... |

1991 Buick Regal Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...However, the power steering has a nice weighty feel to it, and the rack and pinion steering is crisp in lane changes and other maneuvers. The suspension is soft but not bouncy. Though the Gran Sport is no race car, it handles most curves easily. There is little body roll and no tire noise during high-speed turns. Braking could be improved. The test car came with the optional ($925) anti-lock brake sys tem. The pedal had a pulsing, spongy feel to it that undermined the rest of the car's solidity. The brakes on the Gran Sport are four-wheel power discs, and despite the poor feel of the pedal... |

1995 Buick Regal Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Down the interstate, the sedan just sailed along without effort. Buick sedans are not noted for being designed as road-racing vehicles, but this doesn't mean they have to fall all over themselves going through fast turns. The test car certainly didn't, courtesy of a Gran Touring suspension system that seemed to hit a very happy compromise between ride and control. The Touring system firmed up the ride just enough to give a little extra feel for the road, but without making the ride stiff. It gave a certain enhancement of control to the car's front-wheel drive. This is, however, a $745 option... |
