2012 Audi A6 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...It will help you pull up phone numbers on the Bluetooth-connected phone or input an address. It takes a few minutes to learn, but well-worth the time investment. And if you don't want to draw, you can just press the button on your steering wheel and use the voice recognition system and tell the car what you want. Butlers aren't this responsive. There's also Wi-Fi connection. Using a 3G connection, the car is always ready for anyone in the vehicle to go online. (It is not recommended that the driver actually go online.) The automotive hotspot is good for up to eight devices at one time. (The... |

2012 Audi A6 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Speaking of buttons, the A6 comes standard with keyless access and start, eliminating the need to dig to the bottom of your purse for your keys to unlock or start the car. Can I get a "whoop whoop!"? IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT Storage Compartments (Puny, Fair, Ample, Galore): Puny-Fair Cargo/Trunk Space (Puny, Fair, Ample, Galore): Ample SENSE AND STYLE Family Friendly (Not Really, Fair, Great, Excellent): Fair Fun-Factor (None, Some, Good Times, Groove-On): Good Times Behind the Wheel Though the Audi A6 is a full-size sedan, it certainly doesn't feel like one when you're driving it... |

2012 Audi A6 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Those include Google Earth satellite image overlays for the navigation system; weather and gas price information; and the ability for up to eight devices to use the A6 as a Wi-Fi hotspot. T-Mobile is the data provider, and after the trial it costs $30 per month for unlimited 3G data, or $25 per month if you sign a two-year contract. Audi Connect integrates with the MMI system, which is Audi's version of the knob-based control systems — like BMW's iDrive and Mercedes' Comand — that have swept the luxury-car market in recent years. Audi Connect's screen graphics aren't as refined as... |

2012 Audi A6 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...But I had so much fun — operating on the escapist theory that it is “better to seek forgiveness than to ask permission,” especially when so many people would’ve objected to what I was doing. I drive like a relative saint on heavy-traffic, high-speed highways. The caveat is needed because being in the equivalent of a fine house of ill repute (a thoroughly enjoyable sedan cabin in this case), with a high-torque, big-horsepower engine at your disposal is putting yourself in the “near occasion of sin” when you are addicted to hot, fast automobiles. But being on... |

1995 Audi A6 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...During acceleration, the added weight of the Quattro system and its power-absorbing extra gearing is felt. The standard five-speed manual transmission, as expected, is quicker than Audi's four-speed automatic for 0-60 mph. Add the Quattro, a nd you've got a 0-60 difference of a tick over 2 seconds, 8.8 for the five-speed versus 10.9 for the automatic. The A6 Quattro weighs 3,726 pounds versus an A6 front-drive's 3,363 pounds. But the weight and gearing don't seem to have much effect on fuel consumption. A five-speed A6 and a Quattro automatic have exactly the same 18 miles per gallon city... |

1995 Audi A6 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The pedal doesn't have to travel much before the brakes bite hard, and the car slows quickly. The A-6 does not dive when you slam on the brakes. There is, however, one aspect of the A6's road manners that left me cold. And that was the dull, vague, lifeless power-assist d rack-and-pinion steering. It's awful when compared with other cars in its class. At low speeds, the steering requires too much effort, and it doesn't return to the center position by itself when you make a slow turn. On the positive side, the A6 can turn a complete circle in 34.8 feet. That's fairly tight for a mid-size car... |

1996 audi a6 Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Safety scores have been exceptional, even among European competitors such as Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, and Saab. Of course, it's unlikely that you will ever need the A6's safety equipment because of the wonderful accident avoiding features Audi has thoughtfully included. Optional Quattro all-wheel drive and an improved antilock braking system make the A6 a difficult car to send spinning out of control, or get stuck in a rut. Audi claims that the Quattro will be able to move as long as one wheel is able to grip. Even without the Quattro option, the A6 has improved low speed traction as a result of... |
