2011 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDISource: Edmunds...1st month owning it, there were paint blemishes on the vehicle so that was taken cared of by the dealership with heat treatment. Vehicle just has over 9,000 miles, its been in the shop 3 times for acceleration problems. The vehicle stutters, hesitates, on acceleration and when it does this, there is a harsh shift to the next gear. VW Dealership has not been able to replicate problem. I always get my diesel fuel from Kwik Trip or Shell depending on my travel routes. VW Dealership has also did a software update since I purchased the vehicle too. So far I have been somewhat disappointed in the... |

A lot for the moneySource: Edmunds...Drives well. Seats are very comfortable in front and back. Lots of headroom (a 6 footer will have several inches of headroom in the front seats). Good visibility. Lots of features for the price... |

Nice CarSource: Edmunds...I am getting 42MPG per tank. I am not trying to save fuel and I don't baby the car. This includes commuting to work and several trips around town. I drive around 75 to 80 MPH avarage on the turnpike. I have the manual transmisson. The car really has some low end power going through the gears. The seats and interior are very compartable. I have received comments from everyone that has been in the car on the quality of the interior. I went to test drive the Golf TDI and saw this sitting next to it. This car is like mini mercedes! Go test drive this before you buy a Prius or other high MPG car!... |

Downsized and loving itSource: Edmunds...The sportwagen diesel fits the bill. I've now driven 3000 miles and am very pleased. Averaging 38 mpg per tank, about 42 mostly highway and a little less with all 4 of us in the car. I haven't changed driving style at all and still get great mileage. The car is zippy, surprisingly quick for highway entrances, and takes corners well. The storage room is exceptional, and my kids (7&9) fit just fine even with my 6'2 husband in the car. My only complaints are that the dash knobs are too small and the car sits a bit too low for a tow hitch for a bike rack... |

Pleased With Jetta SportWagen TDISource: MSN Autos...In town mileage is around 32mpg. As of around 5000 miles have experienced no problems. Have received compliments on its appearance from strangers. A/C is good in the heat and heater and heated seats are effective in the cold. Sound system is good. Cons: Trip computer took a while to figure out. Rear head rests are hard to remove when folding down seats. Wish the headlights would go out automatically. Overall: Traded in an Audi A6 on the VW with no regrets. The dealer offered minimal discounts. The SportWagen has about every feature available. Bought this vehicle for retirement due low... |

TDI WAGON - ultimate SUV alternativeSource: MSN Autos...enormous trunk, that swallows aven the most determined shoppers load of groceries. very comfortable seats, 8 airbags, lots of storage areas, every square inch used creatively. Cons: dash mounted cupholder gets in the way of the double-din stereo. Supposedly the new (march 03) cupholders have been relocated to between the seats. 90HP engine takes a little getting used to, but worth the effort. VW, please bring over the larger diesel engines!!! Overall: check out tdiclub.com for more information about VW diesels than you will be able to read in a month :-)... |
