GO YARIS!
Source: Edmunds

...I traded an Infiniti G35 for a yaris, which might seem like a huge difference, and it was.
However, I been very happy with this decision. I constantly am averaging 31.5 mpg in the city and about 39 highway, which is fantastic.
The reliability I cant say much about yet because my car only has 4300 miles, but it starts up in sub zero temps and hasn't given me trouble yet.
The car feels solid for a cheap car. I hate how all the reviewers knock this car because it really is not that bad.
It is affordable, practical, reliable, and excellent on gas.
Despite toyotas recalls...

the little yaris that could
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: great mileage. depending on the driving style and the season, I've seen it going to up to 40mpg.
great reliability - did not have any issue with the car whatsoever, just take it in for regular scheduled maintenance and that's it.
perfect car if you don't have kids and are the type of person who just wants to get from point A to point B.
Cons: sometimes on steep highway ramps the car might feel underpowered. Overall: great car. would buy it a second time without blinking...

Good car but others have gotten better
Source: Edmunds

...Our Yaris is a 2008 and we are now 3 1/2 years and 36,000 miles into our ownership.
Car has been perfectly reliable and exceeds EPA ratings, we regularly see 40 to 44 mpg highway, 30+ in town.
Roomy up front, with lots of legroom, but narrow. Backseat has enough legroom & headroom for 6-footers and under.
Large trunk. Lots of storage pockets, the center gauges are no problem, and the interior is pretty nice.
Less road noise than the Fit. Problems: The engine has enough power, but the 4 speed automatic needs another gear or two.
Driving position is terrible for taller...

Small weird car
Source: Cars.com

..."Very odd set up with center cluster and cup holders in front of AC vents.
Smaller than my VW superbug. That said for a small cheap car-good performance, handling and mileage.
Wonder about LT reliability as fit and finish have a fair amount of rattle. Maybe a good runabout."...

My 2011 Yaris
Source: Edmunds

...I just purchased this car a few weeks ago (53 miles) and I have to say this is a cool little car!
I got 40 MPG on the highway (top speed 60MPH non interstate roadways) and 36MPG on the Interstate (Top speed 70MPH).
Comfort? Not sure why Edmunds said what they said about the car, but I find it quite comfortable to operate.
The car seems higher off the road, more visibility out the front.
I have not yet ran into any of the issues the other reviewer has, but it's good to kmow about the air filter. Am now using it in consert with my ZX2 (using it every other week)...

tank
Source: Cars.com

..."this vehicle has taken me,my friends everyone where we wanted to go.
drove 6.5 hrs straigh at 72 miles an hour never stopped for gas car is a tank good with high rpms wish it was bigger but the milage and reliability is awesome"...

Nice B Segment Alternative
Source: Edmunds

...I read a lot about this car before the purchase and find the following to be true.
The car handles very well, but does have some roll.
The steering and brakes are great and the engine has enough pep for me. I had a Yaris prior to this car and find this an all around better vehicle...
