Never thought I'd get one...Source: Edmunds...Leased it for work and already its paying for itself. Pay half at the pump and going twice as far. At the gas station is where this car makes the most sense. I also realize why Prius drivers are so annoying to be behind.. its because they are trying to keep in ECO mode all the time! I just drive it like a regular car and I'm still getting 44 mpg with mixed driving. I am 6'2" and 238 lbs., so the seat was not made for me. I had to go to an upholstery shop to build up the seat bottom foam and side bolsters. Much much better afterward and no more neck pain. Crummy seats, but great car... |

does what it says it can doSource: Edmunds...Delivered 48 mgp as measured at the pump on first tank. Driving style and accessory use make a significant diffrence in mpg. I was driving moderately with minimal use of heat, AC or lights. Toyota has listened to various on line postings and seems to have corrected every minor thing that was wrong with the 2010 model. Brakes work perfectly with no lag when going over bumps or pot holes in road. There is no delay as many had claimed for 2010 version. The radio gets good reception in all bands now. Glad I waited for 2011, I never purchase a new model the first year of launch... |

02 PRIUSSource: Edmunds...In fact we bought an 08 Prius and gave the 02 to our son to drive to school. I expect we will always have Prius for the foreseeable future. Gas mileage is lower in winter (35-39), and as high as 48 mpg in summer on a 700 mile road trip. It's still weird when the engine shuts down when at a stop light....but that's just money in my pocket ! There have been zero-nada problems with anything. It just purrs along all the time. We like the 08 even better because Toyota updated many things like a a fold down rear seat, better stereo radio, and even more room in back seat... |

Great economical carSource: Cars.com...It does getting used to the performance of the electric motor. It is slow to pick up speed unless you step on the gas and kick in the gasoline engine. The car is very easy on gas. I have been getting 48-50 miles per gallon on Hwy driving. The best I got was 51.5 MPG on Hwy driving. Stereo and climate contols on the steering are great. So is the dashboard display which give you a lot of information and helps you drive in an efficient and economical way. The looks small from outside but it is very roomy from inside. It has good leg room for the rear passingers. Overall it is a great car for the... |

2010 Toyota Prius IVSource: Cars.com
..."I Love this car! I'm averaging about 55 MPG, and really enjoy the electronics in this vehicle (hands free GPS, Phone, Satellite Radio). |

Reliable and a good commuting vehicleSource: Cars.com...When I first got my Prius I thought it felt a little awkward and not at all like a typical car. After a few drives though I was completely comfortable driving it around and knowing the outside boundaries of the car. The windows on the sides and back really let you see what is around you; the hatchback bar in the rear window is distracting at first, but you get used to having it there and when the car behind you has headlights on, it actually blocks the lights. The only thing I don't like is that the seats don't adjust up and down (of course they adjust back and forth). I have to sit on a... |
