Excellent reliable car

..."Ive owned my Xa new since 2004 and it has given me absolutely no problems except for the AC ( but hey its a FL car ) it gets great gas milage and looks pretty good inside and out.
Im very thankful for this car because My family is living by the paycheck and we are on government food stamps, i dont know how we could survive without this car.
It has over 140k miles on it and still the tranny shifts smooth, no rattling, no NOTHING. I love this car!"...

Had it for a Month

...Good car, fun to drive. Got the automatic with a lot of the silly neon lights and better radio.
Handles really well, acceleration is a little light from a stop with the auto, but handling is terific. Great sound system. Great car and better price...

It's a great little car

..."I have about 25K on my Xa and I love it. I put a roof rack and trailer hitch on it, and it does pretty well hauling my outdoor activity toys, and even pulling a trailer...

..."This is a great little car which also happens to be cute.
I've owned an Xa automatic for about a year. Cumulative gas milage has been 29.8 mpg over 10,560 miles...about 75% city driving.
Have had no items need repair or adjustment (other than normal service).
It is nimble, though the ride gets choppy on rough roads.
The only downside is the lack of (not available!) a cruise control for the occasional road trip. Even so, longer trips are an OK experience."...

I like it.

...I'm not in the target group (I'm over 40). And I'm not a small person. However, I found the Scion xA roomy and fun. It's mileage is better than advertised. The sound system is great...

Needs an armrest!

...Have had this car for 8 months. Great gas mileage, average 36, have gotten as high as 39.
I'm 6'1 and have had several back surgeries, so seats are important. I find these to be pretty comfortable with good lumbar support. Overall it is a great little car...

great value and fun to drive
Source: Edmunds

...Bought this car for my daughter and now I love to drive it.
It handles very well, has power everything. It is only two weeks old and already has 1,100 miles on it,
took it on two trips in very hilly areas and it handled very well and we were comforable all the way.
Purchased the armrest seperatly, it's a must and should have come with the car. Other than that, we just love it! It's a gas to drive around in...

cindy loves her scion xa

...I main reason I bought it is because it is a Toyota, and have experienced Toyota's reliabliliy. I needed a small, roomy, economical car and the Scion Xa fit the bill. Needless to say the price was right. I make regular trips to Lake Tahoe. I fill the car with my luggage and other items and have pulled all of the passes with no problem. It runs well at high altitudes. I have never experienced a reduction in horsepower or sluggish performance. I live in Southern California and it's peppy on the freeways. It drives at 80 mph with no problem and handles well. All in all, I love it!!!...

Car for all ages

...We now have about 8,000 miles on our Scion xa. We purchased it to compliment two other vehicles and to save money on gas.
Boy was I wrong. This car does, as advertised, save lots on cost of gas but it is fun to drive.
We have three vehicles and the first person out the door in the morning always goes for the Scion.
It is a great car, great investment, and a good decision. By the way, I am not a member of Generation X, I am 60+. Thanks Toyota. Geezers like a bargain too...
