Top value

...Pros: Handling is the best. Really turns with very little body roll.
Cons: 190 horsepower seems just a little underpowered in this model-trim.
Not enough torque. Overall: Aura of reliability is tops. Stylish coupe. Overall, excellent quality rivaling higher priced imports...

Beatiful Ride
Source: Cars.com

...At 6K miles I notice a major transmission leak. The dealer fixed the problem they said it was a broken seal. Now I hear a rattling sound on the back but I dont have the patience to go to the dealer as I really hate them now and wish I never bought this piece of junk. I have 36K miles and luckily I have no major mechanical problems. The vehicle itself is a very smooth and powerfull car to ride. Unfortunately I will not consider buying another GM vehicle as this one has left me with very bad taste. When I buy a new car I dont expect the car to have any issues for the first 60K miles. I owned...

One of the better Saturns I've owned
Source: Cars.com

...Dealer said they were leaking. Replaced.Squeaking rear break pad. Again, a warranty item.Squeaking passenger rear bushing. At least that's what I think. It doesn't do it when it's wet out side. Not looked at yet. I think I might try WD-40.Well, that's bit of stuff. Sorry. The car is comfortable to me. The cabin is illuminated with several lights that add elegance. It's a quiet car and the car's stereo is great. The mileage could be better, but I've got the powerful V-6. Believe it or not, I've gotten 31 miles to the gallon on long trips. I usually get around 26- 28 MPG, but that's mostly...

Solid and quiet comfort
Source: Cars.com

...The car drives very nicely, is quiet, and the air conditioning is smoothly effective. The overall design is stylish and not overly gaudy. We are getting an overall 27 to 28 miles per gallon and it is informative to tailor your driving to the "instantanious miles per gallon" information available on the instrument panel. The car is a bit sluggish on acceleration but that would greatly increase the fuel consumption. We'd like to see the electric motor assist more readily or with more authority when accelerating. For the price it is a reasonable choice and it is an American built car by GM...

Excellent Vehicle

..."We've owned a 2008 XR with the 3.6 engine for the past 9 months/ 6600 mi.
Excellent styling and not one problem so far, a solid 30 mpg on the highway.
Acceleration is brisk and handling is on a par with my accord coupe.
Seats are firm and excellent for long highway trips, and the steering precise.
The only drawback is the limited turn radius, but not enough of a negative to disuade me.
I will be keeping this one until the first major style upgrade, then I'lll most likely purchase another one."...

Extremely Impressed!
Source: Cars.com

..."Picked up a 2008 Aura XE V6 for my wife to replace her Grand Prix GT, and wow am I impressed.
GM made a very smart decision relying on Opel to engineer their midsize sedan platform.
Compared to the L Series this vehicle this replaces and other GM sedans (old Malibu, Impala, Grand Prix, ect.), this car is a serious step up in styling, performance, and quality...

My fourth and favorite Saturn
Source: Cars.com

..."My wife owned a 1998 SL2 that was replaced with a 2007 VUE.
I drove a 2000 SL1 that I replaced 3 months ago with a 2008 Aura XE 3.5L V6.
I love to drive this car. I'm 6'1", and I finally feel comfortable in a car-front seat and back.
(The SLI replaced a Plymouth Sundance). I knew that gas mileage was going to suffer a bit to get a car that I feel comfortable in, but this is a great compromise.
The scooped out front seatbacks is a great idea to give those in back more room...
