The One to BUY Beats any Hybrid out thereSource: MSN Autos...If you use the empower setting on the dashboard you can learn to manipulate the engine to get 40 mpg with just a little care. I've owned it since july have 6,000 miles on it with a combo of city/highway mileage. As far as handling you wouldn't know its a hybrid. Cons: The only thing I wish it had was a little more torque with the electric engine from point of accelartion then I would probably get 43 mpg's that is the only reason I gave the performance an 8. Hi Quality, Hi Tech, Hi Mpg, and American MadeSource: MSN Autos...Other times, it will run in EV mode and I just can't figure out if there's anything I can do differently to get the car into EV mode. Overall: I placed my Purchase Order for the car in December 2008 sight unseen based on the acclaim from the LA Auto Show and Road and Track's Car of the Year review. I don't work for Ford and I have nothing but stellar things to say about the car. I took delivery of the car in March of 2009, have put 11,000 miles on the vehicle, and the computer states that I have averaged 39 mpg since I got the car.
