Nice SUV for the price, but not built for towing trailers
Source: Edmunds

...I've owned Lincoln Navigators, Land Rover Range Rovers, Supercharged, and LR3s.
Leased a 2011 ML 350 4Matic with the OEM towing package, front/rear park assist, side lane change assist, dual & rear AC, 20 inch tires.
As far as ride, it rides as any normal SUV, not as soft as a Range Rover, or the softer Navigator, but more like a sporty (hard ride) supercharged RR or LR3.
BIG TURN OFF...even though MB installed OEM Trailer Package, MB does not included a trailer light adapter to change the 7-pin (European) to an American 4-pin, or 5-pin.
I've gone to many U-hauls/Pep...

Nice Car, but Very Costly to Maintain
Source: Edmunds

...Computer Module at 90k, $1000 repair. Then, cracked radiator at 92k, $900 repair. Then, 110k, tension belt and pulley blow out, $550 repair. Also, these repair are being done by mechanic, which is way less than what the dealer would charge. Normal wear and tear items like tires, brakes, and oil changes are very costly. It's a nice car, but it is becoming really difficult maintaining this vehicle. Also, the interior trim was made with cheap plastic, and is breaking. We expected better from a Mercedes-Benz product, and will not buy another...

Drives great in a snow storm
Source: Cars.com

..."I drove my 2011 ML 350 4matic vehicle in a snowstorm in Syracuse , NY.
The snow was falling at a rate of about 2 inch an hour and about 6 inches snow on the road and I could drive this vwhicle at 55-60 MPH with excellent visibility, road grip, stabiltiy and braking...

Best SUV on the road today... it's a beauty!!!
Source: MSN Autos

...It turns heads all the time... Cons: To be honest, I have to wipe down my tires a little more than some of my other cars, the brake dust appears to be somewhat significant in comparision to my other vehicles.. but none the less... I wouldn't trade it for the world. Maybe only for an upgrade to another M-Class!! Overall: I love everything about this car. The thing that captured my final decision to buy this car was the commercial. It talked about the safety airbags and protection for kids... I called the dealership the next day. My mother and I both own Mercedes-Benz M-Class vehicles from Sun...

Only One Thing Missing

It Doesn't Drive Anything Like A Bmw X5 -- This Feels Like A "luxury Truck"
Source: CarGurus

...I've had this SUV for 11 years now. It has a few problems but nothing major.
It still looks good -- both the exterior and interior. My wife loves it -- it's not too large and visibility is good. Seems to be solidly built and I expect it to last for many more years...

The Ultimate Let Down
Source: MSN Autos

...It handles well. But this car reminds me of early Ford, or GM SUV offerings, YAWN...lots of plastic but nobody home. IF they had something unique it would be possibly lost in it's dysfunction. Overall: Although ones feelings of the badge of honor in Mercedes Ownership would strategically place this vehicle on a pedestal in its class, this vehicle although I have owned now for over a year. It remains to be seen to how this could be placed anywhere but below average in the standing with other vehicles in it's class in functionality, performance or novel engineering. It poor gas mileage, low...
