...So far so good after the first 1,000 miles. Like the ride and handling. First long trip over 350 miles one way and got 21 miles to a gallon...

I LOVE my Tribute!!!
Source: Edmunds

...I have owned many Ford Explorers in my time and this vehicle blows them all away.
It is SOOO much better and more fun to drive. It now has over 40,000 miles and I still love it. I hate the tires, though. No problems to speak of. I've even towed with it...

My New Tribute
Source: Edmunds

...I purchased my Mazda Tribute in April of '05. My model is a 4 cylinder base model.
For being a base model it is pretty loaded up. It has power windows and locks, window tint (back windows), AM/FM stereo with CD player, and it has 16 inch alloy wheels.
The truck is very sporty looking for 2005. My only wish is that it came with a larger 4 cylinder engine as it doesn't have the power of some of its competitors.
However, I am very glad that I purchased my '05 Tribute and am very happy with it to date...

Dealer pulled a fast one.....
Source: MSN Autos

...But I did not like the Gunmetal Gray. The dealer found a CandyApple Red "Demo". with 6k miles. After I signed the papers and got home, I opened the hood to find a 4 cylinder engine. The Sales Rep, and the Finance Clown both assured me it was V-6 when I saw 4cyl on the description. But I trusted them, now I am in the Texas Hill Country, and have my foot to the floor. This 4cyl will get abused, I have found myself pushing hard on the gas far too often. I have a small trailer and there is no way I could ever consider pulling it to Houston, much less Colorado. The four cylinder/automatic is ok...

happy to buy it

...We just got the Tribute after all the research on the net and I can say the roomy interior surprised me!
I was glad I chose it over the CRV which is smaller and has a less classy feel on the inside.
My husband loves the way it handles like a small car but packs power.
Windows are tinted and I love the lighted vanity mirrors. How considerate. I also appreciate that they made the roof rack standard. Like it outside and inside. It's a very nice SUV to have...

..."I have chosen this truck beacause I really love the look and the overall package, I have a trailer tent and it is the perfect setup to do camping.

Sports Car SUV
Source: Edmunds

...Performance ... Pros: Don't let a 3.0L 201-HP V6 fool you. This car is explosively fast. Burning rubber and spinning tires from a stop. Cons: Loud exhilaration noise. Comfort ... Pros: Leather interior with heated seats are moderately comfy. Cons: Driving in the car for 2+ hours may make you feel stiff. Fuel Economy ... Pros: Regular fuel. Cons: 15 MPG in a suburban area. Fun to drive: Pros: A Ford Mustang in SUV form. Cons: None! Design: Pros: Sporty inside and out. Cons: Bland back seats. Build Quality/Reliability: Pros: 36 month lease reported only 1 problem-brakes. Cons: Still an American...

My New Tribute!!
Source: MSN Autos

...The 4 wheel drive does very well in the snow and ice. We still need to be careful, we took a u-turn too fast on the snow and the back end slid a little (not surprised - our fault). This was one of the only affordable vehicles my husband, who is 6-2, fit in comfortably. I like the layout of the dashboard more than any other SUV we looked at. The turn radius is great. Cons: A little concerned about the gas mileage, (we have a 4-cylinder). I do a lot of stop-and-go driving in the city. I'll have to see what happens in the next couple of months. Overall: Overall, I really like my Tribute!...

Awesome
Source: Edmunds

...I love my Mazda Tribute ES-V6. It's fun to drive. I can go just about anywhere and it's absolutely awesome in the snow and ice.
It handles wonderfully. It's nice for a change not to get stuck in my driveway.
I drove it through blizzards and rainstorms and the weather hasn't scared me or it, yet. This is the most amount of fun I've ever had driving this SUV...
