2008 Miata Performance

Excellent, but a few gripes
Source: Edmunds

...No dispute about this being the best handling, most refined & practical under-25k roadster.
Mine's a GT, supposedly top-of-the line niceties...
not. No fuel/trip computer. The ECU knows how much fuel it's burning.
Let me know! No MP3 support in the CD changers (without a $500 upgrade just for MP3 support) Crazy cheap.
No external media input, despite looking like it on the stereo faceplate --> devious.
Intermittent wipers not adjustable rate, as if there were only 3 settings of rain. On/off seat heaters are off or hot...

2008 Touring Hardtop 6 speed
Source: Edmunds

...I wanted a convertible & found MX5 has the package deal. Discount off MSRP was very attractive too. Fit me well (5'4"). There are after markets that sell for faster speed & other accessories...

Best Bang for the buck
Source: MSN Autos

...I can easily fit my 6 foot 240 pound self in one. Nice handling, quick enough and smooth auto trans. Trunk has equal or more room than many other types of similar cars. Drives like a German sports car I owned years ago. Cons: Not a very user friendly sound system. Very basic and not iPod accessible. Cup holders in doors are basically unusable for someone my size. If I place a water bottle or similar sized mug in it my knee can become trapped between the door and steering wheel. Potential safety hazard if you shift your leg up while driving. Overall: Very nice and at a great price. Bought mine...

The Last of the True Sport Cars
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: The Mazda MX-5 is a true sports car, with it's a car from the heritages of MG's and triumph's traditions.
It's handling is outstanding and much better than I expected in this car.
Cons: This car could use more power, but then again if I had a 1967 Cobra 427 with 485 hp I'll want more power.
There isn't a car buit that will please everyone in the hp department.
Overall: This is most enjoyable and entertaining car I've ever owned from my first new car in 1968 a Austin Cooper "S" and a Formula Ford racing car and many more since then 40 years ago...

It's a Cutie!
Source: Edmunds

...It was torture to wait! I found out how great it handled from having to dodge all the potholes in the roads coming off of a hard winter. After years with a boring automatic, I can finally shift! Downshifting is one of my favorite things to do while in this car. I bought the dark gray hardtop. I didn't need a showier color such as red. That would've been overkill. The car alone says it all. It is understated yet boisterous. I'm driving to West Virginia in a week and can't wait to get on those winding mountain roads and see just what it can do...

Miata MX-5 is awesome!
Source: Edmunds

...Driving this car brings me happiness as well as enjoy the sun shines.
It allows not only to move from one point to another but gives you emotions and lots of fun with no speeding or dangerous driving.
I have never had any problems or issues with my car given I had technical maintenance twice.
The only thing you might care about is driving in mountains during the winter.
But I did drive to Mt. Hood three times, so nothing is impossible. Just don't forget it's rear-wheel drive car with all its positives and a few negatives...

Best Little Convertible for the price
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: styling, handling, fun-factor, reliability, gas mileage Cons: with top up,
my head touches the top; a bit of challenge getting in and out of vehicle Overall: I'd recommend this car to anyone who wants to have a lot of fun with a sporty convertible...
