Great Little Car

..."I purchased a Elantra SE. I have owned it for approx 6 months now.
The only problem I have had is when the dealer installed the sun roof wind deflector they cracked it at one of the mounting screws.
They replaced it in 3 days.I use it on the highway approx 70% of the time.
The trip computer says that in the 21,000 miles I have driven I have averaged 30.6 MPG.The Leather seats are very comfortable. The car fits a 6'4" driver well. The air works good."...

Don't Be So Negative...

..."I am almost 18 years old now and my parents purchased this car used for my 16th Birthday.I got into an accident a few weeks ago and totaled it due to someone pulling out in front of me.
It handled the accident so well!! The airbags deployed and if this car would have not been so well equipped, the result could have been much worse.
I am so thankful that this was my first car and that it saved me from being further injured.
It may not be the most stylish car out on the road, but with a spoiler and some window tint its a great reliable car thats not too bad looks wise.

...And the headlights were aimed at the ground. After that it was near flawless until about 130K then the AC lost its charge, cooling fans quit, CV joints went, radio LCD screen went blank, idle solenoid died, struts needed replacing and many interior bits are breaking. However, she keeps on running!Great fuel mileage 27 city/30+ highway. VERY slow acceleration, but once up to speed she can cruise easily 75+. The auto transmission doesn't always shift smoothly and has always felt a little fragile but it has never given much trouble.Features are spartan, but what it does have is laid out and works...

Decent - not perfect
Source: Cars.com

..."Bought a 2009 Elantra SE automatic and so far, so good.
I definitely got more features and more room than a comparable Toyota, Honda, or Nissan (I've owned at least one of each of these; all good cars) for less money.
Having said that, time will tell if it was the right purchase...

The gas mileage is outstanding as well as the trunk space. XM satellite radio is cool as well as the Ipod interface (must puchase the cable from the dealer). All and all it's a great car!!!!"...
