Best HybridSource: MSN Autos...Consumer Reports tested the 0- 60 time to be 8.9 seconds. The M.P.G. window sticker read 41 city and 36 highway. The reason for the excellent city M.P.G. is because the Hybrid’s electric motor can power the car up to 47 M.P.H. The steering gave good feedback. The CVT transmission is smooth as silk. I found a comfortable supportive driving position. Battery life is officially rated by Ford at 10 years or 150,000 miles. Since March my combined city and highway M.P.G. is 38.2 while running on 87 octane gasoline. What a fun car to drive. I just recently learned that the entire 2010 Ford Fusion... |

Technology Geek's rideSource: MSN Autos...I was expecting closer to 40, but I do almost all highway miles and I do tend to have a lead foot, so it's probably about right. I'm going to try increasing the tire pressure a little to see the effect. Overall: I really like this car. It handles well and is fun to drive. The electronics and sound system are AWESOME! If you are a techno geek like me, the connectivity to your IPhone, USB memory stick, touchscreen Nav, DVD player, Satellite integrated info is impossible to beat. I only wish the Iphone would cooperate with the Texting capabilities of the system... |

Fusion Hybrid is everything it's advertised to beSource: MSN Autos...I live in a warm climate (NW FL), drive on a US route, 31 miles one way to work, with too many stoplights, 55 and 45 mph zones, rush hours and without a lot of hills. Short story: I get 45-49 MPG every day to and from work. I could probably top 50 if I were weird about riding the EV...but there's too much traffic. The 502A pkg is great; you talk to the car and it does what you want. No more cel phones in the ear, I can tell it what radio station to tune. I've rented the 4 cyl (no pep) and V6 SEL (really fast). The Hybrid is in between but closer to the V6 SEL...I'm completely satisfied with... |

Fusion Camry comparisonSource: MSN Autos...Those Bridgestone tires were a disaster and I replaced them with much better driving Michelins before 30,000 miles. A big plus to Ford for providing better tires. Cons: Ford has done something very interesting with the gas/electric hybrid engine(s). They have adjusted something that allows the car to run in electric mode at a higher speed than the similar Camry hybrid engine. This results in higher gas mileage at the lower speeds but at LOWER gas mileage than the comparable Camry hybrid at speeds over 70. Overall: I have owned a Camry Hybrid for three years and opted to buy this Fusion Hybrid... |

Perfect CommuterSource: MSN Autos...Gas mileage is better than advertised although in my case the city/hwy is reversed at 40/48. It is comfortable for me at 6'3" and we like the amennities. It allows us to keep our Expedition for family trips and hauling larger loads without sacrificing comfort. The SYNC system works well with a Blackberry. Cons: It isn't made in the USA. The engine will run at startup in the morning regardless of battery levels until it is at running temperature. This cuts the mileage down. Should have an option for a larger battery pack for "less than max payload" couples or families. Acceleration on hot days... |

Superior quality with decent performanceSource: MSN Autos...I love the touch screen and being able to doing anything from make a phone call to changing the thermostat with my voice. Great car! Cons: After all the good things mentioned. I got the Hybrid hearing about how fast you could still go on the electric motor ~45-47mph but it's nearly impossible to get there without using the gasoline motor first. You can accelerate with just the electric motor but at such a slow rate that you'd have people backed up for a mile behind you. It's best to just accelerate up to 45mph and then layoff the gas until it drops back into the electric motor only. Hills... |

Great Car for an Intelligent Tech-Saavy Family-Minded GenXer!Source: MSN Autos...The technology of this car--from the hybrid system, to the Microsoft Sync, to the Sony Stereo--is unmatched! I am a professional and wanted a car that screams "SUCCESS." This car does so quite nicely. Cons: The USB is in a bad spot. I've owned Fords and Mercury's in the past and wish this car had the moveable pedals. Two or three memory settings on the driver's seat would be nice. I had heated side mirrors on my Sable and that was nice. Trunk is kinda small, but that is what you usually get with having a battery pack. Overall: I hardly ever have to go to the gas station! In my opinion, this... |
