Liked it so much, got 2 of them ...Source: MSN Autos...The most comfortable seats of any car I've ever owned (Civic's, MR2, 318ti, Jetta, Audi A3). Roomy inside, taller stance for better view, shifting through 6 gears, getting over 30 mpg fwy (when I keep the speed below 80mph), comfortable on cross-country drives. Fun in the twisties. Cons: Niggling ... no padding on armrests. Ummmm ... that's about it. Overall: I hadn't owned an American car in over 20 years due to lackluster performance, styling and quality. My wife bought an '08 Caliber SRT-4. After driving it for six months I traded in my '07 A3 S-line (that I did like) for one of my own... |

DisappointedSource: MSN Autos...The back space is adequate for my son's hockey goalie equipment. Cons: At 11,000 miles, I had it at the dealer for "flapping" noise when I just take off. They had to contact Chrysler directly. Apparently, I'm only the fifth person to have this problem. Previously, Chrysler replaced the transmission. When the old ones arrived at Chrysler, they couldn't find anything wrong with the transmission. So I sit here with a vehicle under warranty while they find the real fix. The frame along the passenger side has started squeeking over bumpy road. Of course, it wouldn't do it at the dealership. Both... |

ALot for the money...shop right. Get AWD back!Source: MSN Autos...If you need WINTER driving capability...here it is! Has with alot of interior room for THOUSANDS less then the Japanese products! Very nice sound system..I'm 47 and was impressed! Like the outside body styling...I think it looks GREAT! Cons: Alot of interior plastic...But the payment is $220 for a 4 yrs 1 year lease return vehicle that had 15 k on it.. Got to like that! But the warranty till 36K miles could be better! Overall: Would have liked the "sunroof" and programable garage access features for the "upscaled" model..think that would be better..and I find it not a good managent decision... |

Would buy this againSource: MSN Autos
...Pros: I bought the SE with a number of options including the 17" tires. |

2008 Caliber SE PlusSource: MSN Autos...I imagine, but this is addressed in the owner's manual and lowering another window will help - or closing the offending window. Overall: My previous vehicle was a 1990 Plymouth Voyager minivan. The Caliber rides on a wheelbase a few tenths of an inch longer, so this car has a good ride. It is much quieter and gets Much better mileage than my 4 cyl. van did and is a definate upgrade for me. I rented a Caliber last summer and liked the CVT in it, but bought the five speed manual. The mileage is surprisingly similar - that CVT worked well,l and after I got used to the lack of gear range steps... |

Miserable in the Motor CitySource: MSN Autos
...Pros: Not much. Just the electric outlet. The frig doesn't even work very well. |

Great CaliberSource: MSN Autos
...Pros: I love my Caliber. It's very practical for city driving and handles quite nicely. |

Dodge could do BetterSource: MSN Autos...Cons: Too noisy for my taste. The Firestone tires do not make justice to the vehicle, plus I have learned it does not have much padding to reduce the noise. Dodge should do better than that for this vehicle. I also have a 2008 Hundai Accent, the most basic trim and it is more quieter than this vehicle. Go figure. Dont like the 17 inch wheels. More options should be available. Only 5 months after the purchase and I'm considering changing the wheels and tires. You cannot see a mayor difference between two previous year models. Hard to find accesories. Visibility is not good, have to know how to... |
