The 2012 Subaru Impreza, unveiled at the New York Auto Show this spring, has the highest projected gas mileage of any all-wheel drive vehicle on sale in the U.S. this year: 27 mpg city and an impressive 36 mpg highway. Now Subaru has released pricing for its compact four-door sedan and hatchback models, and while the fuel efficiency has risen, the price hasn't. Subaru held the line entirely, pricing the base 2012 Impreza 2.0i sedan with a five-speed manual gearbox at $17,495 (plus a mandatory $750 delivery fee on all models).
