Who thinks Tesla Motors is "doomed"?

And, while we liked driving the Audi A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid, why was our verdict: "Good first effort, but should try harder"?

This is our video look back at the Week In Reverse--right here at Green Car Reports--for the week ending on Friday, November 6, 2015.

Friday, we published a friendly note to our respected colleagues in the automotive industry on the topic of Tesla Motors.

Many of them seem baffled and hurt that Tesla rarely loans out press cars for road tests, treats them like cattle at events, and ignores most of the automotive press.

We explained why that is.

Oh, and former GM product czar Bob Lutz says Tesla is "doomed". What do you think?

On Thursday, we covered what we know so far about Nissan's 60-kilowatt-hour battery pack for future electric cars.

It was discussed in a press briefing before last week's Tokyo Motor Show, and expectations are high that it'll be offered in the second-generation Nissan Leaf in 2017 or so.

Wednesday brought our drive report of the 2016 Audi A3 e-tron Sportback, which we drove for parts of two days in and around Silicon Valley.

It's fun to drive, performs decently for a plug-in hybrid, and takes Audi into the electric-car world for the first time.

Our only problem? The electric range is just 16 miles, give or take--which is now on the low end of the plug-in hybrid spectrum.

On Tuesday, we reported on an unusual twist in the widening VW diesel emission scandal.

Volkswagen headquarters in Germany came out swinging against the U.S. EPA, denying that any emission-related software in its V-6 diesel engines had been used "in a forbidden manner."

That followed a formal EPA complaint on Monday that the larger TDI diesels, too, detected emission testing and behaved differently as a result.

Even more "irregulatries" have emerged, affecting 800,000 more cars, and VW shareholders and financial analysts have started to get concerned, calling the company's response to the EPA "very weird."

By the end of the week, VW had issued a stop-sale order for multiple, pricey new and used Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen models with the 3.0-liter V-6 diesel.

2016 Honda CR-Z

Finally, Honda's sole remaining hybrid vehicle in 2016--and its only surviving mild hybrid too--soldiers on with a few design and feature updates in its sixth model year.

That's the 2016 Honda CR-Z two-seat hybrid hatchback, which our reviewers said isn't really all that sporty but is now also matched on fuel efficiency by Honda's own four-seat, five-door Fit subcompact.

Still, we like two-seat cars, so we wanted to give the littlest Honda a nod.

Until next week, this has been the Green Car Reports Week in Reverse update.
