You have just two weeks left to vote for the Diesel Car of the Year award, which is organized by The Diesel Driver website.

Every year, that site asks green-car advocates, diesel fans, and its readers to chose from its list of nominees.

That list (below) includes all 13 passenger vehicles fitted with diesel engines that are sold in the U.S. as 2012 models.

Last year, the winner was the 2011 BMW 335d, but that model isn't sold for 2012. So the field is wide open.

  1. I voted for the car I fancy, but have not purchased, and that's the VW Golf TDI.

    Bad stuff?

  2. Isn't it a shame that so few diesels are offered for sale in the US? BMW, Mercedes and VW have shown that in fact, you can have your cake and eat it too!
