BMW is holding a global press conference in Frankfurt, Germany tomorrow to promote its new i division aimed at sustainable motoring solutions for the future.

Our own green car expert John Voelcker is on his way to Frankfurt as you read this and will be bringing us all the information direct from the conference.

So what can electric car fans expect out of it?

Well, we’re expected to get our first look at the BMW i3 minicar, a vehicle formerly known as the Megacity and one that is expected to be the luxury automaker’s first mass-produced electric car.

But it won’t just be about the i3. BMW’s i division will be responsible for a whole range of sustainable technologies, including a eco-friendly supercar destined to be called the i8 as well as an electric scooter.

Tomorrow is shaping up to be a very exciting day, so remember to log on early and stay tuned for a full coverage throughout the day.
