The MINI is a car that has captured audiences for decades from the original MINI Cooper to today’s modern edition. In a country where people didn’t believe that a small car would do well, err except for the Miata, the MINI proved that this small car had style, speed (in the S) and a lasting presence. MINI, the company, isn’t just about producing cars for profit, the company has also been know to do a fair amount of charitable work. Some of that charitable work in question includes this years one-of-a-king “Red Mudder” made to help raise money for the Life Ball, an annual fundraiser for AIDS-fighting projects.

The design is the creation of DSQUARED2, a Canadian design firm. Kind of explains the Canadian Maple on the doors, doesn’t it? It also makes those of us with a Rally and Off-Road instinct wonder why MINI hasn’t offered this kind of package before. So we remain hopeful that people will cry out for this miniscule dirt pounder and MINI will make at least a limited edition run. That said, we can’t wait to see what MINI will have in store for next year’s Life Ball. For the record, this is the 1th time MINI has prepared a vehicle for the event, which deserves a little recognition of its own.
