The 2012 Mitsubishi "i" electric car has been around in one form or another for several years now, so there's a lot of information to keep track of.

The tiny egg-shaped electric car, with four doors and four seats, is expected to arrive in the U.S. in November 2011. It's already on sale in Japan, and also in some European markets, where it's known as the 'i-MiEV'.

Since our Nissan Leaf Ultimate Guide has gone down so well, we thought you might find a similar page useful for the quirky "i" electric car and its Citroen and Peugeot cousins overseas, compiled from all our relevant GreenCarReports articles. 2. Best estimate at the moment is Fall 2011 to early 2012, so another year at the earliest.

  3. I've had my $300 deposited for a few months now. I don't think they've received 2K reservations yet - have they?

  4. @Anthony and TheGreenAutos, the article states available in Nov. 2011, right? If this is correct (and I understand this is just an estimate), how would "another year at the earliest" be correct? If it arrives in Nov. 2011, that's 2-3 months from now. Or do you mean as a national rollout, perhaps?
No criticism intended at all, just trying to get this clarified. Partially since my Volt is finally almost ready and I have to decide by Monday if I want it or something else soon. Thanks!
