Nearly a year and a half ago we learned about an upcoming hybrid Hyundai Sonata.  Last summer the vehicle was seen testing in Death Valley, but Hyundai has kept most information about the vehicle under wraps.  Now, it is finally ready for its reveal at the New York Auto Show this April.

The Hyundai Sonata hybrid will make its official debut in New York.  According to Hyundai's North American product planning chief Scott Margason, the hybrid Sonata will go on sale in the fall of 2011.  Margason left out all of the important info about the vehicle so there is still very little known at this time.

Here's what we do know.  The Sonata hybrid will use either a 2 liter or 2.4 liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and a Hyundai lithium polymer battery.  That's all we know at this time.

The hybrid Sonata will debut alongside an unnamed turbo performance offering from the company which will also go on sale in later 2011.

We will update you about this hybrid Hyundai as information becomes available.
