Suzuki has launched a hybrid  gasoline/electric vehicle for sale on the Japanese market that travels an impressive 100 miles per gallon of gas!  The Suzuki Twin also features an automatic idling stop system shuts the engine down whenever the car stops at traffic lights or when stationary in heavy traffic, minimizing CO' emissions and fuel consumption.

Although popular in Japan, the mini-car market is less established elsewhere.  Mini-cars have never taken off in the United States, and while slightly more popular in Europe are still a very small segment of vehicle sales.

The Suzuki Twin hybrid vehicle is currently only produced for the domestic Japanese market.

    you cant FIND them for sale here, thats why they dont sell well :S (canada)

    No Suzuki for me. If it was a Chevrolet Spark and made in USA, I'd be all over it. Hello GM. Wake up and smell the coffee.

    100 mpg is going to sell some cars, IMHO. Plus, doesn't that qualify for some kind of X-Prize? I thought that it was $10 million to the first production car over 100 mpg, right?

    The Suzuki Hybrid along with the Tata Nano are the cars of the future. Detroit better wake.Thumbs up for Ford who made over a $1 billion profit.Suzuki,Tata and Toyota are the cars of the future by adapting the hybrid fuel technology which is green friendly. Gas guzzling,unless rejected by Detroit,will the cause of their demise. cheers.
