The Nissan 370Z Roadster is something that Nissan enthusiasts are waiting for with baited breath. And why shouldn’t they, especially with the recent pricing announcement that bring it in under the Audi TTS, Porsche Boxster and the BMW Z4 sDrive35i. Not to mention that the Nissan 370Z Roadster takes the lead in the power department, as well.

For our diehard readers, my gushing over the new 370Z Roadster is nothing new. Back in April, I reported on Nissan’s unveiling of the car at the 2009 New York Auto Show (the same show they announced the 2009 NISMO edition). The most impressive part of the 370Z Roadster has to be the transformation from the coupe to the roadster. My personal take on the last generation 350Z Roadster was that it was a little clumsy in the execution. Don’t get me wrong, the coupe and I were friends, but the roadster didn’t seem as well thought out. If you check out the lines on the new model, it seems very smooth and well sorted.

What about the price, you ask? When the Nissan 370Z Roadster rolls out to dealers in September it will sticker with a base price of $37,690 for the 6-speed manual and $38,990 for the seven-speed automatic. Interested in the Touring model with Bose stereo, XM Satellite, Bluetooth, aluminum pedals and heated and cooled seats? These upgrades will push the price to $41,240 for a manual and $42,540 for the auto. Either way, the Nissan 370Z Roadster will cost you less than other imports and run circles around them in performance.

Be sure to check out the NISMO Z for even more performance packed in a unique package.
