Lumeneo Smera City EV on Sale Now in Paris for 24,500 Euros

The Lumeneo Smera, a French built pint sized electric car went on sale earlier this month for 24,500 Euros or about $33,000.

The Smera was on display for its first public viewing at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show.  Since then, it has made a few appearances throughout the world with stops in France and Monaco. 

The Smera is powered by a 144 volt lithium-ion battery system that Lumeneo claims can scoot the tiny car to 60 mph in 8 seconds and propel it to a top speed of 80 mph.  It has a range of 90 miles on a single charge.

Currently, the Smera is only on sale in Paris, but the company plans to open Lumeneo shops next year in several major European cities to increase the reach of the company and hopefully sell more vehicles.

    Sorry Eric the price is 24,500 Euros, that is more than 33,000 $ at the current exchange rate.
