BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle upstart, unvieled their e6 all-electric crossover vehicle today at Auto Shanghai.

While BYD's sedan offerings have been a bit dull in terms of design, this spry mini-SUV has style to spare. The technology has been updated too, with a battery pack that contains 100% recyclable materials and can recharge up to 50% of its capacity in only ten minutes. BYD also boasts that the battery used in the e6 can run 400 kilometers on a single charge, giving it the "longest range of its kind in the world."

BYD plans to offer a full line-up of pure electric and electric hybrids by the end of next year, but they're not sure which vehicles, if any, will be available in the United States.
