Fisker Automotive recently unveiled a convertible version of its extended-range electric Karma called the Karma S which is slated for production in the second half of 2011.

The Karma and Karma S concept have similar design cues and are strikingly beautiful in person. The Karma S adds the appeal of a droptop model to the Fisker electric lineup. A recent report states that Fisker is underway in taking deposit for the Karma S. Apparently, Fisker will demand a deposit with a premium price of $25,000 for those interested in taking future delivery of the Karma S. Currently, the deposit required for the non-convertible version, the Karma, is only $5,000. Reportedly, the Karma S will carry an identical all electric range to the sedan version, the Karma. Both vehicles will be capable of travelling up to 50 miles on electric power alone. Pricing for the Karma S has not been announced. However, expect the convertible to carry a premium over the hardtop model.
