The Camden facility for United Parcel Service is located within London's Low Emission Zone, and is the company's central package facility in the UK capital. To meet this low-emission delivery need, UPS has ordered 12 electric vehicles from zero-emission van manufacturer Modec.
The electric delivery vans completed a successful nine-month trial of the vehicle's capabilities earlier this year, operating in north-west, east and central London. The zero-emission vehicles report to have a range of 100 miles on an overnight charge.
