Lexus has announced pricing details for its all-new ES 300h hybrid luxury sedan.

Joining the non-hybrid ES 350, the ES 300h will have a MSRP of $38,850, plus a delivery, processing and handling fee of $895.

With a 2.5-liter, Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, the ES 300h develops a combined 200 horsepower, with a Drive Mode selector that lets drivers choose between Normal, Eco and Sport modes. As with other Lexus hybrids, an EV mode button will let drivers keep the car in its efficient electric mode at low speeds.

Based on the Camry Hybrid, it's efficient too. No official EPA figures have yet been released, but Lexus is expecting ratings of 40 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 40 combined.

This doesn't come at the expense of quality or equipment, so the ES 300h should offer a sporty drive. It also has ten airbags as standard, an optional Blind Spot Monitor to improve safety in highway driving. A standard Lexus Premium Sound System supplies the tunes, and if you're a music connoisseur then a 15-speaker Mark Levinson audio system is also available.

The new 2013 Lexus ES 300h and its ES 350 brother will arrive in Lexus dealerships in August.
